About Ken Warren
After he left the Air Force in 1987, Ken Warren supported himself playing professional Texas hold ‘em poker. An excellent tournament player, Warren was asked by several Las Vegas poker rooms to skip their tournaments in order to give other players a chance to win as well. He branched out to Omaha poker, and he’s now a consistent winner at both games.
Warren is the best of the new breed of riverboat poker players, and, in fact, has the unique distinction of having played in (and won) the very first legal poker hand dealt in Mississippi in the twentieth century. That landmark hand was kings full of 7s in the big blind position.
Warren is the author of four excellent poker books, including the best-selling Winner’s Guide to Texas Hold ‘Em Poker, Ken Warren Teaches Texas Hold ‘Em, Winner’s Guide to Omaha Poker and his new book due out this Fall, The Big Book of Poker.
